Guggal, traditionally known as Guggulu, is one of the most important medicinal resins described in Ayurveda. It is obtained from the oleo-gum-resin of Commiphora wightii, a small thorny tree native to the arid regions of India. Revered in classical Ayurvedic texts, Guggulu is widely used in numerous formulations for supporting joint health, metabolism, digestion, and overall wellness. The purified resin (Shuddha Guggulu) is especially valued in traditional Ayurvedic preparations.
